I know Robert has about 150+ trophies from Paddleball in his career.

Let's say it breaks down to an average of $100/tournament = 15k.

Now, there were some tournaments that paid more, some less and some times none at all. I will be willing to say 20k is about right.

I'm willing to say that Sammy may have won more $ than AF. Once Rob and Sam came on the scene, his winning tournaments went down dramatically.

think about this, Rob is I believe 38. He has won money since he is 16 or 17.

That averages out to $17/wk in earnings.

This is such a lucrative sport, I love it. Bowlers and tournament fishermen earn more.

I also now know who the master may be...the dummy may have given it away.

If it is who I saw fall, then I know for sure.

Grand Master Funk,:
Don't get excited of knowing my identity because - I never said I fell. But if you are curious I'll be in the next tourney to bust you up..
Lova ya............

THE MASTER:
This is an insult, a disgrace to mention my name, in the company of these 2 non player buffon's. Master Blaster, the only thing that character has ever blasted, is his own game, bringing it to the miniature level it now resides in. As for Grand Master Funk, the only magic he has master to a high level, is the disappearing act, he performs when hes taken out, early in all the tourneys. Yours truly the Master.

Grand Master Funk,:
Oh Master,

Don't be upset. You are the true master of this game. I was just stating that the game was run by crooks. Other than that the floor is yours.

See you in the next tourney.

Peace and Love ...............

I was playing ball last week and the question of which player has won the most money in Paddleball from tournaments.

Robert S.
Anthony Fiorino
Hoppy (when he was the man)
Steve Rothfeld
Bobby Schwartz
Andy K.

Also, how much do you think they have won in their career.

FR:
In aggregate- Rob.

Grand Master Funk,:
Do you really think it matters? If you added everyone earnings on the list you provided it probably wouldn't pass $25000, and that everyone on your list. Paddleball is recreational pass-time sport. Handball has more sponsors and money than us, it sad because we never had the proper endorsements to push this sport like racquetball. Hey, that's life. The joy of this sport was that the late 70's until the early 90's. Now we are old and tired.

Enjoy the sport as much as you can because 10 years from now – these paddles and balls will probably be in a museum.

Latter………………

AndyHere:
G M Funk,
In the 70s & 80s, Budweiser, as you know, sponsored the Budweiser Summer classic for years.
I ran the finals a few of those years, and had contact with some executives from the company. I asked if they could put up the money that they spent on the summer classic for a yearly professional tour, and they told me no, they were only interested in finacing the summer classic. Other then a $5000
Seamco/Marcraft singles tournament, that was it. Bobby & I played in exhibition games for money, but no where in the game was there any decent loot. Bobby did endorse a paddle for Marcraft, that ironically, I designed, that was USED (without my permission by Marcraft. (To be specific, Duffy Lautz) So Bobby did make some money from that endorsement, while I had to wait nearly 30 years to make big money in the game of paddleball. The ironic thing is, it's not paddleball we grew up on in New York, but the south florida tennis ball version. ( Because of the sponsorship of CPQ & Mr.Juan)

ling:
Andy,
when is the next tennis paddleball rescheduled for?

Paddleball fanatic:
I would estimate Rob has won about 20k in his career total from Paddleball. Remember in the bud he went thru a preriod of winning the Singles, Doubles and Mixed. Also, all the other tournaments. How much do you think the endorsement deals could have been for a paddle? I would say maybe 1k.

Grand Master Funk,:
Are you kidding me - $20,000 lets be real here -- Budweiser tourney just gave you the recognition of winning and a trophy. As for money -- it was enough to take you and your girlfriend to dinner. There was no money. However, I do remember that Michael Mignaldi ran some successful tourney - but he pocketed all the money. I remember one tourney in Bronx he built a paddleball court, which I almost killed myself with the wind blowing sand onto it. But that beside the point. -- just before the tourney began he expressed that there will be monies paid. He took our entrance fee and drove off in his new red corvette. What a scam. But hey we were fools because he was a good sales man. He just never delivered -- as a result the connection he made disappeared -- sponsors pulled their funding. And we faithful paddleball player were holding the empty bag.

Please if there was some ethics in this game of endorsements -- This sport would be loved by so many more people. Its just a damn shame.

Latter

AndyHere:
Mr. Ling, How are ya?......Mr. Juan has cancelled 2 tennisball tournaments because of the renovations to the Hollywood courts. As soon as the courts open, and word gets to him, he'll reapply for the permit, and the tournament will be announced.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Stay Tuned<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Identity crisis:
Master Master!!!!!!

You are right. Mike M. did some good things for this game like get us on TV. But his smoke and mirrors caught up to him. There is nothing left of his reputation. I remember when Sammy almost killed him and took a whole bunch of NPA gear as payment. His site is gone and so was his credibility and friends.

Charlie Nieves almost did the same thing. But all in all, he's gone from this game.

Now....I was there when 2 players fell due to sand on the court...I was one of them and you the other...If that is true, I know who you are....

Grand master Funk:
That may be so.. but than I know who you are as well.

All's love babie.. see you in the next tourney

the only thing i dont like about one wall racquetball is there is no volleys

FR:
It's my opinion that the volleys are longer the higher you go up the player scale.

the M aster:
Fred R. Pal of mine, where you been, rumors has it that you are playing another variation of paddle ball in a remote part of the world. That's no reason for the disconnect, the abandonment of it all. For its has cause a lot of discomfort. For your aberration comments are missed. As in the past you my friend, have always been an advocate of my comments. Regards your friend the Master.

Hey Nelson,

When you have national top billing like Robert does.

Check out worldoutdoorracquetball dot com and you will see what Robert has accomplished. He's getting some major billing.

worldoutdoorracquetball dot com

Key word accomplished!!!

First you wont be able to communicate with any sponsor as he has. Don't be a hater!!!

If you think you can play, do it! Talk is cheap, more if coming from you.

nelson:
im not saying i am on robs level in that sport all i am saying is if i was to play i would be a top player come on lets be real its not 4 wall its one wall and that sport is made up of ex ppaddleball players who when they played paddleball where not that good so for me to even think of making the transition to that sport would be hard for me is crazy.

Freddy Ramirez:
It's my opinion that most top 4 Wall Racquetball players would beat most One Wall Racquetball players, given the slight differences in racquetball rules, like giving the shot, clearing and giving the back team the opportunity to strike by leaning. Then it's a totally new ball game...so what Nelson says has some credit...they then become just ex paddleball players. I think Nelson is talented enough that if he did play racquetball frequently he would be really really good...that's providing he could live with the rules...which is a tall order...it requires patience to allow opposing players access to shots.

nelson:
no disrespect to the top players in one wall racquetball i mean paddleball is somewhat similar to that sport i think if any paddleball player can make an easy transition to that sport and with a good amount of practice you can be a top player. now yes it requires patience which its hard to do to jump out the way to give them a shot i coul d not really do it in paddle tennis which i payed the price with a paddle beating lol

EX Paddleball man:
Freddie!!!!! What's goin on? How have you been? I hear you are now playing squash. Did you play in California this weekend with Rob?

If so, how did you guys do?

Nelson,

I will say that you always have been a victim. I have yet to see you accept responsibility for anything that has gone on with you. Also, I will say that almost hitting someone (as you write about Robert) is not the same as assault (actual contact). If that is the case, how many times have you terrorized people verbally?

How many times?

How many times have you threatened other players? How many times have your games been interrupted by your imature actions and arguments?

How many times have you been pulled aside and spoken to as a friend to address similar behavior?

I know I spoke o you about this twice myself.

It's always the fault of Brandon, USPA, KJ, Glenn, Ryan, David B. and the list goes on and on. That's why you were never signed by any minor league team. Your attitude is your major handicap.

The courts is not the only place your attitude affects, we both know that.

nelson:
ok first i have played minor league ball even until now i get payed for playing baseball. on top of that i even had offers to play last year so to say my attitude affects me outside from paddleball well then u dont know me. regarding sponsors well i have sponsors that sponsor not only me but teams that i run. i own up to my doings all the time but u tell me what have i done to brandon, uspa, or david b to warrant anything such as a suspension or anything. my attitude does not affect me outside from this sport. and i dont accept responsibility on what i do then u dont read well ur self. u obviously as well as others do not know what i do outside this pathetic sport we call paddleball. it has gone to being a competitive sport to just a recreational sport at most, its sad now tell me why this sport diminishes every year. i have never played this sport just for the money i play in every tournament regardless if there is money or not can u say that about ur beloved rob. and what have i done to ryan who is that, or glenn at best out of that list i have only done wrong to kj u tell me otherwise. so i talk smack when i play im sorry if there are to many wimps in this sport please live your glory through rob, i can care less.

Finals player:
come on Nellie,

Do you actually believe we are buying that. If you were getting paid by any professional team. I'm pretty sure there is a contract. Some players are not even allowed to go off road with a bike or ride a motorcycle. Padleball is a pretty dangerous sport, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want you to get hrt and miss any games. specially with all the diving you do.

I respect your paddleball game. But, I doubt you are on any pro teams roster. If you are what team is it, I'm sure you would be listed on the roster, even if inactive.

Finals Player:
also when you write "offers", what player that dreams of playing a sport and get paid for it would pass the opportunity up.

If you passed it up, bad choice. I hope Paddleball pays.

now i agree i use intimidation and vulgarity but hell that is part of the game in any sport i dont know whats ur problem with me but there are far more worse people than me in paddleball. excitement is what i bring to the table i play hard and try to make it fun to watch look how dead this site is unless i start with what u call whinning. what are we doing talking about paddleball with excitement i love it but im not whinning im stating the bad and the stupidity that goes on in paddleball and i use what has happened to me for my arguements because its wrong and i wont let it go no need to it was done to me and did not like it.

the MASTER:
Dear Nelson, iam tempted to come out of semi retirement, and give you the same spanking, i use to give you in the 1990s, just to keep you in line, for you need a smorgasbord of whipping to calm you down. Your friend the Master, don't forget your shoeshine box.

nelson:
if i only knew who the master is well i ont remeber losing to much in 90s but ok how about we come out of retirement and see who sends who back hell u beat me i will never play again

the Master:
Nelson, Nelson. now you know thats a promise you wont be able to keep. Now if i were to acquire legal vi-ding paper, that you will sign, stating that you will not play for 2 years. Other wise a penalty will be inpose, then i could see possibilities in us playing. we could figure out what that penalty will be. In the mean time don't forget your shoeshine box. Your friend forever the Master.

nelson:
ok when i find this so called shoeshine i will bring it? now i will sign such papers hell like i said u beat me i will stop playing so where do i sign

the Master:
Well Nelson, surprise, surprise, i was mistakenly wrong, that you would not agreed to my condition. But now on a more interest thought, how do you know that you could win a match against me, without putting face to player. Oh i know, arrogance of being a top A player, but how do you know Am not also an A player from a few years ago. Here a bad clue, we have played a few games before, with mixed results. Your pal the Master

nelson:
its not arrogance i feel im playing good ball now and if we beat each other before whats not to say i can do it again. but i like challenges and u present one i gladly accept. so here is ur chance to get rid of me play against me u might become a hero to others

Stop Complaining:
The difference between you and Robert is he would never assault anyone or act like a victim.

The guy is ranked in racquetball. He has a talent you lack, patience!

nelson:
r u kidding me who i assaulted heby hit me i did not hit him . the only person i did anything to was keith jackson who i apologized to so please. ii seen rob not even try to call a block and almost hit someone with a paddle if thats not assault what is so please know ur facts. get it rite herby hit me i did not come close to hitting him at no point.

nelson:
another thing if i was to play racquetball i would be ranked as well

CONCERNED FAN:
Are you saying KJ hit you? If you are than you can add liar to the list of negative adjectives to describe you and your on court behavior.
I was there and saw, clearly, that you shoved him the face. He did not touch you at all. So, what you write is not only nonsense it is BS!!!
Maybe you should take notes and watch how guys like KJ and RS (add FR and some others) behave on the court, with their partners, refs, and opponents. Then maybe you'll clean up your act.

nelson:
hey concerned fan why dont u add "learn to read" to your list of comments i wrote herbie hit me i did not hit herbie the only person i touched was kj and that i apologized to him here on this site the same day it happened and the next time i saw him buddy learn to read i own up to my doings

player:
heby equals Herbie, ok

nelson:
whatever his name is derby ferby whatever lol im learning how to spell lol

Concerned Fan:
No problem, as long as we have player to help us with the nelson to english translation!

ok now why would i get banned from this sport. there is nothing i do that warrants such action please. and to say rob would never do that please that boy argues and he has outbursts. check his demeaner when he is losing are u kidding me he argues he has tactrums i played with him and against him and i have seen it happen please do not pain this perfect picture of him or anyone to that matter. now im a cheater how so what makes me stand out from anyone else in this sport. everyone cheats in this game whether its me or rob or to a c player they all cheat. i dont cheat i dont try to trip people or hit people on purpose i never take mistake by refs points so please explain what i do to cheat

cf:
Rob may argue points but his outburst are rare. There are good players that you never see outburst or even argue a call beyond a respectful appeal, like Steve Smith or Freddie R. And those guys would be consistant top finals or semi-final players if they played all the time.

If players would just play the games and not the calls things would be different.

cf:
I would put Keith Jackson up there too, he rarely outbursts, though the people around him tend to cry a lot.

nelsond:
i agree with u guys but you know its part of the game but sometimes we go overboard i know i do but you know what a ref and this goes for any sport they need to take control. i ref a few games and never recall a outburst of my kind lol or luther i could never have a outburst like that. i know refs are not babysitters but when they take control it works. as far as players well yes we at fault and i speak for myslef im at fault and it needs to be toned down and the game will go smoothly but a little outburst makes it fun lol
