USPA Ranking
Algorithm
Benefits to
Structure
1. Rewards players for total points
achieved so winners will have the most points.
2. Player is compensated for Difficulty Level of tournament and
participation.
3. Player is compensated by accruing more points in Tournaments with
more teams.
4. Players can play with other partners but will gain points as team.
5. Semifinalists can play for third place honors but cannot factor in
game points.
6. It encourages players to participate in a higher division and
penalizes one who enters a lower division.
*Note:
After personally conducting the extensive research regarding a modern
points system for One-Wall Paddleball. I realized other systems out
there did not tackle all issues our sport needed addressed. In my
opinion, the formula posted above is the best system that would consider
all factors. Anyone is welcomed to submit their views or suggestions to
us via e-mail.
Keep on Swinging !!
